Combined console sales are up by 51% week over week on the latest Media Create hardware chart, with PS Vita sales receiving a massive boost thanks to a price cut which was officially implemented on February 28th.
It’s a busy time of year in Japan as far as new software releases are concerned so this helps to explain why the 3DS, PS3 and PSP all enjoyed significant gains week over week.
The Wii U’s poor run continues but we’ll only really be able to make an informed prediction regarding its fate once Nintendo introduces some new games and services on the fledgling console.
