We’ve just received word of worldwide release dates for Lost Planet 3, the next game in Capcom’s action (and this time, adventure) series, and to follow up that news for a crushing one-two punch, brand new screenshots and a trailer have just been released to give us our first looks at the Snow Pirates, and a new Akrid enemy, too.
The Snow Pirates of Lost Planet have always been a faction to contend with in the series, acting as the primary antagonists in the first game (other than the ever-encroaching and relentless Akrid, of course), and then playable characters in Lost Planet 2.
This reveal of the Snow Pirates in Lost Planet 3 is the first time they’ve been formally confirmed to be making an appearance in the game – check them out in screenshots and an action-packed new trailer for Lost Planet 3 below, along with the showing of a new giant Akrid enemy, the Carrier.

Lost Planet 3 is due for release on June 25th in North America and June 28th across Europe, on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
