Capcom has been doing a much better job of listening to its fans of late and the publisher’s recent announcement concerning the Wii U version of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is perfect proof of this.
Wii U fans weren’t happy with the game’s lack of an off-TV play option nor were they pleased with online play being restricted to a player’s region.
Capcom will address both these issues in an upcoming patch which will be released during April. After downloading the patch you’ll be able to play Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate solely on your Wii U GamePad and join players from other regions (excluding Japan) in four-player co-op.
The publisher has also pledged to support Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate on both Wii U and 3DS for “several months after release” with free downloadable quests. The first of these additional quests will be available at launch.
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will be released for Wii U and 3DS on March 19th in the US and March 22nd in European territories, with the game being available from retailers as well as the Nintendo eShop.
