Ubisoft has today confirmed the existence of the next game in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, promising the world’s first look at the game early next with a box art tease in tow.
After initial rumours, Ubisoft has revealed Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, writing on the official Ubisoft Twitter account:
“We will be announcing all the details of Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag on Monday March 4 at 6pm CET”
Here’s your first look at the game with a piece of box art:
The Rumour Zone
Current rumours doing the rounds set Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag in the Caribbean during the 1700s and stars one Edward Kenway, father of Haytham Kenway and grandfather to Assassin’s Creed 3 protagonist, Connor Kenway. Pirate adventures seem to be on the cards, which will then definitely make further use of the ship combat seen in 2012’s Assassin’s Creed game.
Co-operative play during the campaign is also being heavily rumoured at the moment for Assassin’s Creed IV, while it seems as though the game is set for release across PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii U this Holiday season, with next generation consoles releases planned, too.
