Remaining THQ properties up for auction, Darksiders, Homeworld, Red Faction and more for sale

It was in late January 2013 that the videogame world had to come to terms with an industry without THQ following the publisher’s collapse and rapid fire sale of some of its chief properties and studios, including Saints Row and Volition, the Metro 2033 license, Homefront and more.

Now over a month later, the rest of THQ’s properties and games are going up for auction with big names including Darksiders, Homeworld, Red Faction and Titan Quest up for grabs.

THQ Farewell Banner

Interested parties need to submit their auction bids before April 15th, and each set of properties has been split up into bundled lots with the most high profile properties and games sectioned off from licensed properties and original intellectual property.

In most cases, parties will be bidding for the rights to the given lot’s back catalogue, with all responsibility for costs and revenue associated with the games landing with a successful bidder. In other cases (as with original properties from THQ), parties will also receive the right to continue to develop a given property.

What other notable games are in the lots? How about Costume Quest and Stacking from Double Fine? de Blob, MX VS ATV and Destroy All Humans could also be picked up, while revenue for a few Worms games could be lucrative.
