Last month the first pieces of evidence surfaced that the English localisation of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX is underway. Now Square Enix has confirmed that this PS3 exclusive will be released in North America and European territories later this year.

Due out this autumn (September 22nd to December 20th), this disc-based compilation features HD (i.e. 720p) versions of Kingdom Hearts Final Mix and Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories along with Trophy support, a widescreen aspect ratio and a theatre mode where you can watch all the cut-scenes from Kingdom Hearts 358/2 in HD. Certain character models have been revamped to reflect their recent appearance in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, while some aspects of Kingdom Hearts Final Mix’s gameplay such as camera controls have also been tweaked. Unfortunately the games featured in the compilation won’t include the original Japanese dialogue.

Kingdom Hearts Final Mix features additional content such as new enemies, weapons, abilities, cut-scenes and missions, and was previously unavailable outside of Japan. This will also mark the first time that Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories is released in PAL territories.
