One of the key moments during Sony’s recently concluded PlayStation Meeting was when the PS4’s lead system architect Mark Cerny gave the world its first official glimpse of the console’s controller – the DualShock 4.
The controller has a slightly different form factor to the DualShock 3, featuring concave analog sticks, redesigned triggers (L2 and R2) and a built-in speaker. It also sports a Share button for uploading gameplay videos and screenshots to a variety of social networks, as well as a touch panel, headphone jack and light-bar which will be used in conjunction with the PS4’s new stereo camera peripheral. Sony claims the DualShock 4 will also feature improved rumble and lower latency.
