Report: Battlefield 4 already field tested, GameStop CEO gets a peekWritten by: / / No Comments
We may already know that EA and DICE are hard at work on the pair’s next military shooter, Battlefield 4, but it’s nice to get a confirmation that the project is coming along nicely. Y’know, just every once in a while.
It seems as though EA is getting ready to show Battlefield 4 to people other than the development and production teams because GameStop CEO J. Paul Raines recently got to sneak a peek at the in-development game, tweeting:
“Got to see Battlefield 4 today and all I can say is WOW! Thanks [EA] for the sneak peek. Can’t wait for you all to see it.”
The Twitter account for EA’s digital distribution service, Origin, followed up on the CEO’s tweet, responding:
“BF4 is coming!”
It’s regular practice for executives and buyers from major retailers such as GameStop to see games early, either at shows like E3 and gamescom, or at private events throughout the year… but it doesn’t make us any less jealous!
Battlefield 4 was first revealed in the lead up to Medal of Honor: Warfighter’s launch, with beta access to DICE’s next game promised if you pre-orded a limited edition of the title from Danger Close.
Are you eligible for the Battlefield 4 beta, whenever it arrives? What changes and improvements are you expecting (and do you want) for Battlefield 4?
Do you think we’ll see Battlefield 4 at tonight’s PlayStation announcement?
