The upcoming downloadable content for Devil May Cry will hopefully be available in the next few weeks, and Capcom has released a few new screenshots showing Vergil in action.
The Vergil’s Downfall DLC will give you the chance to play as Dante’s twin brother in a new chapter of the game. The DLC is said to feature hours of new gameplay and unlockables, and tells the story of how Vergil slots in with the main story of the game.
As you can see from the screenshots below, Vergil plays differently to Dante ‒ he has his own unique weapons and combos, which you can see in action here.
GiantBomb got some hands-on time with the DLC and revealed that instead of guns Vergil throws “ethereal sword projectiles.” He will have access to both angel and demon weapons too, and he can also “teleport vertically up or down if you hit the dodge button without pushing the stick in any direction” – something that you would have briefly seen in action if you’re played Devil May Cry.
The Vergil’s Downfall DLC will be available for 720 Microsoft Points or $8.99. We’ll let you know as soon as Capcom announces a release date.
