Previously confirmed for a mid-March release date following a series of delays, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 has gone gold and is now ready for mass production before making its way onto store shelves next month.
CEO of publisher and developer CI Games, Marek Tyminski, said:
“Since release, the first Sniper: Ghost Warrior has sold over three million copies on multiple platforms. Ghost Warrior 2 will deliver an even greater experience for all those fans of the first game, expanding on this dramatic, exciting world of elite military service.”
Due out on March 12th in the US and March 15th in European regions across PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 has been created using Crytek’s amazing CryEngine 3 (the same technology powering Crysis 3) and CI Games claims it’s “the only multi-platform first person shooter exclusively designed around the modern military sniper experience.”
The boasting continues:
“With unprecedented levels of realism in weaponry, ballistics and environmental factors, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 offers the ultimate balance of skill, tension and action.”
