Last week I challenged you to guess five titles that encompassed sixteen years of videogame history. None of you managed to guess Game 5 which was the Xbox 360 exclusive JRPG Lost Odyssey produced by Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi.
The games featured in last Tuesday’s challenge were:
- Game 1: Silent Hill 4: The Room (PS2/Xbox/PC) – 2004
- Game 2: Blade Runner (PC) – 1997
- Game 3: Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis (PC/Amiga) – 1992
- Game 4: Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy (PC/PS2/Xbox) – 2005
- Game 5: Lost Odyssey (Xbox 360) – 2008
Today’s line-up features an eclectic collection of games that appealed to me at one point or another during the past two decades.
Here they are:
Game 1:
I saw some promotional art for this game in one of the gaming magazines I used to read in CNA while my mom was busy shopping. Unfortunately I never got to play it, and looking back at screenshots now I’m kind of glad I gave it a miss.
Game 2:
I had a demo for this game and played it to death despite the sample’s obvious limitations in terms of car and track selection.
Game 3:
A demo for this game was featured on a CD that came with my first brand new console. It had cheery tunes and fairly simplistic gameplay from what I can recall.
Game 4:
This title still has some of the best-looking environments I’ve ever seen in a game. Its puzzles are very clever too!
Game 5:
You probably recognise the character who appears in this screenshot but do you know exactly which game in this famous series you are looking at?
Can you guess all the games? Have you played any of them? Happy gaming and good luck.
