Media Create Japanese Hardware Sales for week ending February 3rd: Wii U and PSP fight for fourth place

Overall console sales are up slightly week-over-week on the latest Media Create hardware chart. The 3DS XL continues to rule the roost while the original model of Nintendo’s handheld sold roughly half of what the XL did.

The PS3 is holding steady in third place, while there’s not much separating the Wii U and PSP in fourth and fifth spot respectively.

Meanwhile, the PS Vita is still battling to break the 10 000 unit mark as far as weekly sales are concerned. With games like Soul Sacrifice, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus and Dead or Alive 5+ headed its way over the next few months, sales of the handheld should pick up somewhat and may just explode should Sony slash the PS Vita’s price by a significant margin.
