505 Games has announced that Sniper Elite V2 will be coming to the Wii U this Spring.
The Wii U version of the World War II stealth action game will feature new controls and interactivity thanks to the GamePad controller.
Sniper Elite V2 sees players guiding American OSS agent Karl Fairburne around historical locations in Berlin as he attempts to solve the mysteries of the German V-2 rocket program. According to the publisher, players will now be able to enjoy “greater tactical depth and flexibility thanks to brand new flexibility through the GamePad.”
You’ll be able to use the GamePad’s touch screen to “tag enemies and booby traps, track enemy locations and activity, even monitor the blast radius of planted explosives.”
Jason Kingsley, CEO of Rebellion said “Sniper Elite is just the kind of mature game that is perfect for the different mechanics of the Wii U. It’s been a challenge to get it right, but thanks to our team and the fantastic support of our partners at 505 Games we believe we’ve brought the unique gameplay to a whole new platform.”
