There was never really any doubt over the matter, but worldwide publishers have stepped forward to confirm that Kadokawa Games and Suda51’s upcoming action title, Killer is Dead, will indeed see a release in Europe, the US and other parts of the globe.
Due for release this ‘Summer’ on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Killer is Dead will be brought to the US by XSEED games, while Deep Silver (the games label of Koch Media) will launch the game in Europe. What can we expect from Killer is Dead?
Developed by Kadokawa Games (Lollipop Chainsaw) in partnership with Suda51 and Grasshopper Manufacture (No More Heroes, Shadows of the Damned), Killer is Dead is billed as an action game in a day-after-tomorrow futuristic setting, with “outstanding stylish action” promised by the developer.
You’ll take on the guise of Mondo Zappa, an executioner who not only uses an authentic Japanese sword to carry out his charges, but can select a variety of interchangeable weaponry for use on his artificial left arm. What does Mondo want more than anything in the world? The execution of “various heinous criminals scattered around the world and beyond.”
In the end, isn’t that what we all really want?

What do you think of the artstyle? Very reminiscent of Suda51’s previous games…
