We’re holding flight patterns for now as far as Tomb Raider multiplayer is concerned, but what we’ve glimpsed has been promising so far. When you’re looking over snippets of footage and the first thing that comes to mind is ‘Uncharted,’ you’re on the right track as far as we’re concerned.
Today, however, we’ve been given much more than a fleeting eyeful of the game’s competitive and co-operative online multiplayer thanks to the release of a video interview speaking with one of Tomb Raider’s multiplayer developers.
As you can see from the gameplay, there’s nothing here to dissuade us from making comparison’s to Uncharted 2 and Uncharted 3 multiplayer, but as we see the characters (representing the Survivor and Scavenger sides) running around a map called ‘Chasm’ while involved in the ‘Rescue’ game mode, you can see this particular area’s focus on climbing and vertical gameplay, while a mighty sandstorm kicks up to destroy visibility.
It’s all (still) looking very promising, and we’re very excited to get some hands-on time with Tomb Raider’s multiplayer modes very soon:
