We all have our own idiosyncratic methods of preparing ourselves for exciting upcoming games and ways that we ready ourselves – mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually – for games that we’re particularly looking forward to. The Question of the Day on our collective minds today is:
How do you get ready for a new game release?
Dead Space 3 is due for release next week around the world and fans of the series have been replaying the original Dead Space, as well as Dead Space 2, to prepare their minds for EA and Visceral’s next action horror game.
Wikus and Hassen told us on Facebook that they’re well into their preparations for Dead Space 3, while Pieter has just let us know on Twitter that his backlog of games has been whittled down by one more after completing Dead Space 2, too.
What about you? Do you read up on everything you can about an upcoming game before release? Seek out a collector’s edition? Book leave from work? Systematically avoid every piece of conversation about the game?
How do you prepare for an upcoming game release?
