Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX Japanese box art unveiled, evidence points to English localisation being underwayWritten by: / / No Comments
There hasn’t been a home console release in the Kingdom Hearts series since 2008 so the arrival of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX on PS3 later this year is something many fans are extremely excited about.
The game will be released on March 14th in Japan but Square Enix has yet to announce it for Western territories.
Despite there being no official confirmation of a Western version, evidence is mounting that Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX’s English localisation is already underway. Jesse McCartney, Roxas’ voice actor, recently posted the photo below to Instagram with the caption: “For all you ‘Kingdom Hearts’ Fans. Recording the next chapter!”
If you look at the TV screen in the background you can see a scene playing from Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days – one of the games featured in the compilation (albeit in cut-scene form).
Alyson Stoner who voiced Xion in 358/2 Days and Kairi in Re:Chain of Memories also mentioned that she was “voicing a familiar character in a popular video game” over on her official website on January 11th.
While we wait for official confirmation of the game’s Western release, here’s its official box art in Japan:
Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX includes KH: Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories, and cut-scenes that summarise the story of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. Besides HD resolution, widescreen ratio and Trophy support, the featured titles also boast gameplay tweaks and more expressive character models – some of which have been taken from Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance.
