El33t’s Pre-Weekend Post: DBNGamers, Wreck-It Ralph with an order of games on the side

It’s been a busy, exciting, and somewhat of a sad week in the videogame industry. Even though we’ve still got plenty of interesting news to keep you entertained for the remaining hours of your Friday afternoon and evening, for now we’re here to tell you what the members of the El33t team will be up to this weekend.

Russell

“This weekend is a very full one what with the awesomely incredible DBNGamers happening tomorrow afternoon.

Tonight is movies with friends, tomorrow is a birthday party for kids and DBNGamers. Sunday, I shall rest.

Games to be played are Borderlands 2, Gears of War 3 and The Cave.

Hope everyone has an excellent one.”

“This weekend is catch-up-on-sleep time. With extra work after hours happening this week I’ve been a zombie the last few days and need a bit of time to become human again.

I’ll be enjoying some Afcon action hopefully, and more importantly trying to finish Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney as I try to clear my DS backlog before the deluge of 3DS games hits us soon.

If it’s as hot as it was today (40 degrees in Pietermaritzburg) I might also try to find a nearby pool to wet myself in. If we get some relief in the form of rain I will continue in my quest to 100% New Super Mario Bros U.”

“There’ll be plenty of gaming-related activities going down this weekend, including Wreck-It Ralph with some of the El33t T33m this evening and then DBNGamers tomorrow afternoon. I’ll also be diving headfirst into a certain JRPG that needs to be reviewed by next Friday.

In other news, does anyone have any recommendations on how to keep a hamster cool in this fierce Durban heat? Whenever I put ice-blocks in our hamster’s glass water bowl he cuddles up to it like it’s his best friend!

“Following a tip-off, something quite urgent has just come up so I’m off to Pietermaritzburg to do some ~~zombie slaying~~ sightseeing – if you’re petering out in the heat by any nearby pools up there you might find me doing my thang, Dead Island style.”

“It’s a fabulous weekend here is Durban! I’m kicking it off with the awesome looking Wreck-it Ralph movie today in mind blowing 3D.

Continuing the fun on Saturday I’ll be going to the DBNGamers meet-up and having a good chinwag with the gamers about their holiday gaming experiences. Who managed to get through some of their backlog? Can’t wait to to hear all the news.

After all this excitement some relaxation will be required so what is left of the weekend will be spent chilling in the pool if the 36 degree heat continues.”

“We made it to the weekend – high-fives all around!

The next two days will be busy for me, but I can’t wait. Tonight it’s 3D movie time with the El33t guys and then tomorrow it’s time to catch up with the DBNGamers folks.

Hopefully I’ll be able to squeeze some beach time, nap time, and gaming time in between as well. I’m still busy playing Batman on the Wii U and I’ve got some more looting to do in Pandora too. Other than that, who knows what gaming title will tickle my fancy…

“I’ll be returning to the Rook Islands this weekend and going on some more adventures in Far Cry 3, and hopefully there’ll be time to buddy up with my Borderlands 2 crew on Pandora to complete Sir Hammerlock’s deviously difficult quests… but not before visiting Pizzetta Pizzeria for the latest DBNGamers gathering during the early afternoon on Saturday!

I also have my eye on sinking some time into a meaty game of some description (can’t think of what yet, though) and I’ll have some great accessories at my fingertips (and over my ears) to help get the most out of my game time.
