Media Create Japanese Hardware Sales for week ending January 20th: Wii U falls further behind PS3

Hardware sales are down across the board on the latest Media Create chart, with only the Wii managing to improve on its personal tally from last week. The 3DS XL and 3DS still enjoy a commanding lead over the rest of the field, while the PS3 continues to pull ahead of the Wii U as sales of Nintendo’s new console dwindle due to a lack of new software.

3DS Next To 3DS XL

Nintendo president Satoru Iwata addressed this issue during yesterday’s Nintendo Direct presentation and reassured fans that the rate of new Wii U releases will improve from March onwards.
