Keagan Gillespie recently turned ten years old and is a massive fan of the Halo series, even without ever having played Halo before. For his tenth birthday, he wanted nothing more than a Halo themed party with his friends and family there to celebrate his special day.
Keagan also suffers from Stage 2 of Spinal Muscular Atrophy, a progressive disease that severely impairs movement and drastically inhibits the development of the body’s muscles.
When the South African Reach for a Dream Foundation heard about Keagan’s wish for a Halo party, the team partnered with Xbox 360 South Africa and made his dream come true.
Reach for a Dream and Microsoft surprised Keagan on his tenth birthday with a Halo birthday party, complete with an appearance by Master Chief and a huge collection of Xbox 360 goodies, including a new console, Halo Reach collector’s edition and Halo 4, as well as Halo toys, movies and books for him to enjoy!
Watch the video below chronicling Keagan’s special day, and look over a selection of photos from the event while you’re at it to see how this special boy’s special day became a reality thanks to Xbox 360 South Africa and the Reach for a Dream Foundation:
