One of the games revealed at this morning’s Nintendo Direct was none other than The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. That’s right folks, this GameCube classic is coming to the Wii U later this year!
During the broadcast Eiji Aonuma, the producer of The Legend of Zelda series, revealed two entries in the series for Wii U. The first is a brand new entry to the series and is still largely shrouded in mystery, in fact the only thing we do know is that it’s in development and it will be a while before we see actual visuals from the game.
The second is an HD remake of The Wind Waker, a game that was released ten years ago on the GameCube, that will be available this fall. Nintendo stated that The Wind Waker will not just be about a simple change to higher resolution graphics, but that it will be transformed into something “entirely new” and will be “reborn on the Wii U.”
