Need for Speed: Most Wanted coming to Wii U this March, co-op features detailedWritten by: / / No Comments
Earlier in the month we discovered that Need for Speed: Most Wanted for the Wii U would be arriving on Japanese shelves in March. We also learnt that the game can be played entirely on the Wii U’s GamePad, while the controller’s screen will display map and menu information should you opt to play it on your TV.
EA has now revealed details of the Western release of Need for Speed: Most Wanted for the Wii U, which will also be available across North America and Europe in March.
The new Wii U version features include Co-Driver, a new local co-op mode where one player drives using the Wii Remote or Wii U Pro controller and the second player uses the GamePad controller to provide control and navigation assistance on a fully interactive real-time map. The partner will be able to “distract pursuing cops, switch from night to day or activate enhanced performance for any car and even control the amount of traffic on the road” using the GamePad.
Players will also be able to play the entire game off-screen using the GamePad as well as change mods, switch into your favourite cars, track milestones and uncover the city’s secrets using the touch screen controller.
The game will also include the Ultimate Speed Pack so you’ll be able to enjoy “McLaren’s F1 LM, Lamborghini’s minimalist artwork, the Aventador J, the track-focused Pagani Zonda R, Bugatti’s reigning world speed champion, the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse and Hennessey’s savage 275 mile-an-hour ragtop beast, the Venom GT Spyder.”
Of course you can also look forward to competing against your friends and tracking best race times and high scores with Autolog 2. You’ll be able to know every time your score is beaten and online multiplayer with leaderboards will make sure that you’re always competitive. Any Speed Points you earn on the Wii U will be added to your existing total if you’re playing the game on any other platform.
Need for Speed: Most Wanted will be available for the Wii U on March 19th in North America and March 21st in Europe.
