Brainteaser Friday: Guess the Game for January 18thWritten by: / / No Comments
Last week I challenged everyone with a big list of games and asked you to figure them out and remember how awesome they were. The games covered different types of genres, too, from first-person shooter to racing.
What were the games I challenged you with last week?
The five games in question were:
- 1.) Screamer – 1995
- 2.) Little Big Adventure – 1994
- 3.) Clive Barker’s Undying – 2001
- 4.) Chrome – 2003
- 5.) MechCommander – 1998
This week I decided to do a first-person shooter edition of Guess the Game, so without any further ado, here are this week’s games:
This game was not very well known, but it had one of the most disturbing first levels ever. The game was all about the good VS evil and how a fallen one can rise against evil.
I bought this game at rAge years ago and it was an awesome sci-fi shooter. What made it even more cool is that Marilyn Manson voiced one of the main alien characters. The detail in this game was amazing for its time.
Before the modern shooter craze came to be, we had World War 2 shooters, but this one took a different route in telling the story. This game was probably the first WWII shooter that had ‘zombies’ and super soldiers in them.
This game was based in a very popular sci-fi franchise. It was also the first FPS I played where you had a visor view. When it rained you had water drops on the visor and it had an ‘auto-cleaning’ function. You also worked in a squad of four.
This game was cool in my books. It was based on a very popular real-time strategy universe and it was interesting to see the buildings inside and the vehicles close up. There was a new FPS in development based on the same universe, but was sadly cancelled.
Do you know any of these games? Have you played them? Good luck!
