The latest Media Create hardware chart shows that sales are down across the board now that the holiday rush is over. Hardware numbers declined by 303% week-over-week, with the 3DS once again taking top spot with 92 661 units sold across both hardware models.
The PS3 was the best-selling home console during the past week, while Wii U sales dropped sharply to just 20 715 units. Nintendo will need to ensure that its new console has enough major releases scheduled for the coming year otherwise the Wii U is likely to suffer the same fate as the PS Vita in Japan.
