Leading up to release, you would have been forgiven for being a little dubious about Far Cry 3. The best bits of the first-person action title were kept from prying eyes while the most lurid, questionable portions of the title were proudly displayed.

A release date delay didn’t help things, either, but when Far Cry 3 finally launched there was no question over the game’s quality and importance in the videogame industry, featuring best-in-class acting and a veritable ‘living, breathing’ world to explore, with hundreds of activities to complete and astounding visuals to enjoy.
