Xbox frontman Major Nelson has once again shared the latest Xbox LIVE Activity charts with us and Black Ops II, Minecraft and Halo 4 all proved popular choices during the first week of the new year.

Minecraft is the only XBLA title to appear in the main chart and is clearly being played a lot more than second and third placed XBLA games Trials Evolution and The Walking Dead, seeing as though neither title made it onto the top twenty most-played list.

GTA IV, Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition and Age of Empires Online continue to exercise an iron grip over the Games for Windows chart, while Fable III leapfrogged a few titles to take sixth spot.
