It’s hard not to feel jealous of Japanese gamers when you consider how many quality 3DS exclusives are headed their way over the next few months. Besides the behemoth that is Monster Hunter 4, Ace Attorney 5 and Professor Layton and the Azran Legacies are also destined to be released in Japan during 2013 and both look like worthy additions to the 3DS’s already stellar software library.
First announced in August 2012, Professor Layton and the Azran Legacies is due on February 28th in Japan and will be the last entry in the prequel trilogy that provides insight into Layton’s formative years and early relationships. Judging by the latest trailer seen below, the game will once again feature a sweeping score and beautifully detailed visuals, along with plenty of mysteries to unravel and puzzles to solve.
Professor Layton and the Azran Legacies hasn’t been confirmed for Western territories as yet, but is sure to eventually reach our shores once localisation is complete.
Don’t forget that you can get the previous game in this excellent series – Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask – for free if you register your PAL 3DS XL on Club Nintendo before January 15th.
