While roaming the vast, lonely wastes of Bethesda’s Fallout 3, players would have been kept entertained by the vocal stylings of in-game character, Three Dog, who broadcast his messages (and music) to all who tuned into his particular radio frequency.
Brilliantly played by voice actor Erik Todd Dellums, Three Dog became a very important part of the adventure (despite how you might have played the game) owing to the fact that he not only kept players company, but also acted as a mirror for your in-game actions and even provided a few quests to take part in.
According to Dellums, fans of Fallout might just get to hear more of the Three Dog character in the future, although he’s staying quiet on how that might become a reality.
Posting on his Twitter account, Dellums wrote:
“To all my [Fallout 3] and [Three Dog] fans: There may be more of the Dog coming! Fingers crossed!”
As fans flocked to the tweet, the voice actor added:
“How was that for a tease! I was given permission to release that tease, so fingers crossed.”
Whatever could this news mean? Bethesda must surely be working on Fallout 4 following the runaway success of Fallout 3 and New Vegas, and the pair’s raft of downloadable content. Will Three Dog return for the sequel to Fallout 3?
We’ll keep our eyes wide open for further details.
