Most of us who fall under the ‘hardcore gamer’ category would agree that we’re ready for the next generation of console hardware. For a while now PC gamers have been able to enjoy higher resolutions, faster frame rates and more detailed graphics than their console cousins on a number of multiplatform titles, and certain publishers such as Ubisoft have recently expressed a desire for new consoles to develop original IP for.
Microsoft’s next generation console could be revealed as soon as E3 2013 as Xbox frontman Major Nelson recently posted a countdown clock for the event on his blog along with the cryptic text: “And it’s on…”
Apparently this is the first time Major Nelson has put a countdown clock for E3 up on his blog, suggesting that Microsoft has big things planned for the most important event on the gaming calendar. This year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo will run from June 11th to June 13th at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Do you think Microsoft will unveil the next Xbox at E3 2013, and what kind of hardware specs and price point are you hoping for? Let us know in the comments.
