I really enjoy looking back at all the games I’ve played and come across over the years, and during last week’s Guess the Game challenge we had just some of these awesome games on the list – some of which we wish they could do remakes for.
The games for last week’s challenge were:
1.) Star Wars: Dark Forces – Star Wars: A first-person shooter developed and published by LucasArts. It was released in 1995 for DOS and Apple Macintosh, and in 1996 for the PlayStation.
2.) Hocus Pocus: A 1994 side-scrolling platform videogame developed by Moonlite Software and published by Apogee Software for MS-DOS.
3.) Blood: A PC game developed by 3D Realms and Monolith Productions and distributed by GT Interactive.
This week I have a nice challenge for you – some might find it easy, some might find it difficult… Well let us see, can you guess these games?
This game was super fun. It was inspired by Doom, but had a unique twist to it in that you played as a taxi driver in a post-apocalyptic city.
This was one very awesome fighting game. When this game was out, we had movies like Robo Jox and it was cool seeing giant robots fighting each other. The sound track was always very cool.
We can’t have a Guess the Game post without a platform game. This one I enjoyed more than Hocus Pocus. Your mission was to save animals from the undead armed with a slingshot.
This was an awesome racer with a top down view and was the first game I’ve played where it had power-ups you could use against the other racers. It was over the top fun, and yes, it did have jumps and drifting in it.
Good luck, hope this brings back some memories! Can you guess them all?
