The expected cycle of a Borderlands 2 patch leading to the discovery of hints pointing to the existence of future downloadable content has once again run its course.

After the latest patch was made available, eager Vault Hunters discovered new Trophies for the PlayStation 3 version of the game which alluded to the upcoming DLC, said to be called ‘Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt.’

Following another quick round of speculation, speaking to Polygon a Gearbox Software representative said of the upcoming DLC for Borderlands 2 (following statements by studio head Randy Pitchford hinting at a release date):

“There are still two add-on campaigns scheduled to release as part of the Borderlands 2 Season Pass and we are really looking forward to sharing news about our third add-on campaign and other downloadable content soon.”

There are no real details on the supposed Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt DLC, but we’re sure to find out a lot more about the content soon.
