Just like the game itself, the Rayman Legends demo missed the Wii U’s launch but was recently added to the Nintendo eShop in both North America and European territories.
Weighing in at 578MB, the demo is limited to thirty uses and supports up to five players. The sample features three levels from the full game – Teensies in Trouble, Toad Story, and Castle Rock – and runs in glorious native 1080p.
An interesting aspect of the demo is that it reveals that certain levels in Rayman Legends will be played using only the GamePad’s touchscreen and gyroscope provided you’re playing the game alone. During these levels you’re required to clear a path for an AI-controlled character who only moves forward when it’s safe for him or her to do so.
Unfortunately the demo doesn’t support the game’s remote play feature that allows you to play it solely on the GamePad.
Rayman Legends will be released exclusively for the Wii U on February 26th in the US and February 28th in European territories. Head over here for El33tonline’s extensive coverage of this sequel to the award-winning platformer Rayman Origins.
