Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance’s Japanese demo is region-locked, save yourself a 3.5GB downloadWritten by: / / No Comments
Last week Konami gave Metal Gear fans cause for celebration by announcing that a demo for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance would be released on the Japanese PlayStation Store on December 13th.
What the publisher didn’t tell us is that the demo released earlier today is region-locked, meaning that you won’t be able to play it if you don’t own a Japanese PS3.
You can still download the whopping 3458MB demo from the Japanese PS Store and install it on your PS3, but when you try and launch it you will receive an error message.
Hopefully Konami releases the demo on the US and European variants of the PlayStation Store in the near future so we can finally get a taste of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance’s insane-looking action.
The game will be available for PS3 and Xbox 360 on February 19th in the US and February 21st in European territories. Head over here for El33tonline’s previous coverage of this stylish action title from Kojima Productions and Platinum Games.
