Assassin’s Creed III tops 7 million sold to become Ubisoft’s fastest-sellerWritten by: / / No Comments
Ubisoft recently revealed that Assassin’s Creed III has managed to sell seven million copies worldwide, becoming the publisher’s fastest ever selling game with even more in-game accomplishments listed.
Assassin’s Creed III needed only a single month to achieve the sales feat, during which time a whopping 82 centuries of game time has been accumulated in the game’s singleplayer story, while three billion assassinations have been performed. In addition, twice as many players have tried the game’s multiplayer compared to Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, where 250 million assassinations have been pulled off across five billion online sessions.
UK managing director at Ubisoft, Rob Cooper exclaimed:
“We are delighted with the performance of Assassin’s Creed III this Christmas. This is a beautiful and epic game of exceptional quality and we’re pleased that our fans have responded so well to the brand new universe, storyline and game experience.”
If you’re in the UK, you’ll be able to take advantage of a special holiday offer, where if you buy the special edition of Assassin’s Creed III at Game stores in the region, you’ll be eligible to receive an additional extra piece of downloadable content, ‘A Dangerous Secret.’
