The biggest gaming ‘event’ of December 2012 has come and gone and left us with a few extended looks at exciting upcoming games, as well as two new game reveals to think about until 2013 when we’ll no doubt discover many more details on the pair.
We’re of course speaking about the Spike TV Video Game Awards 2012, which in amongst the pomp and circumstance also recognised the greatest achievements in game development this past year. The Question of the Day is:
Did you watch the Spike VGAs? What did you think?
With celebrities like Samuel L. Jackson, Snoop Lion, Jack Black, Neil Patrick Harris, Jessica Alba and Zachary Levi all making an appearance, as well as performances and light shows to match the best that Hollywood can provide, the Spike VGAs was again focussed on the glitz and the need to ‘put on a show’ for the audiences at home in an effort to make videogames seem as exciting and important as the movie and music industries.
Did you watch the show? Did you get all of the announcements and see all of the trailers? If not, here’s a handy round-up.
What did you think of the reveals and trailers? Were they just as good as previous years? And finally, what do you make of the Spike VGAs? Are they doing a good job of promoting videogames, or are the shows too focussed on the spectacle of the event?
