Team Ninja has shown plenty of support for PS Vita since its launch, having already released Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus for the handheld and recently announcing that Dead or Alive 5 Plus is headed to the console next year.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus is also in development for PS Vita and will be out as early as February 28th in Japan, while a Western release is scheduled for later in the year.

Team Ninja recently unveiled a new batch of screenshots for the game showcasing all four playable characters’ highly detailed models as they appear during cut-scenes.

The developer is renowned for its technical wizardry so it will be interesting to see how the finished game looks and runs on PS Vita.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus is an enhanced version of the PS3 exclusive Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 which is in turn a port of Ninja Gaiden II for Xbox 360.
