The 3DS and 3DS XL have been selling like hotcakes in Japan of late, and with games such as Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney being released during the holiday season it’s clear why demand is currently so high for Nintendo’s latest handheld.
The game is out in Japan today and co-developers Level-5 and Capcom recently released a launch trailer showcasing Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney’s stylish cut-scenes created by anime studio Bones, along with some snippets of puzzle-solving and courtroom-based gameplay.

The game hasn’t been announced for Western territories yet, but this should change next year due to the popularity of both the Professor Layton and Ace Attorney franchises outside of Japan.
