If there’s one thing the Minecraft phenomenon has proven it’s that there’s no shortage of master craftsmen among the gaming population. Now a new Augmented Reality app for iOS devices allows you to view your own and others’ Minecraft creations in the real world using sophisticated AR technology.
‘Minecraft Reality’ is available from the App Store for $1.99 and is optimised for iPhone 5. It will also work on most other Apple devices sporting iOS 5.0 or later (iPod Touch 4th Generation is currently unsupported).
The app lets you ‘place’ your Minecraft creations in physical locations and view them from any angle you desire. You can also find Minecraft worlds that others have placed in nearby locations and share screenshots of your discoveries on Facebook or Twitter.
Here’s a trailer showing the app in action:
Is this the kind of app you’d happily pay $2 for? Let us know in the comments.
