Yakuza 5 demo lands on the Japanese PlayStation Store next weekWritten by: / / No Comments
Yakuza 5 is scheduled to be released on December 6th in Japan and looks set to rack up record sales with its massive scope, mature storyline and realistic setting.
Sega has announced that a demo for the game will be released next Tuesday, November 27th, on the Japanese PlayStation Store. You’ll be able to play as series protagonist Kazuma Kiryu and explore Nagasugai (a fictitious town in Fukuoka) while experiencing a slice of the game’s complex narrative told from the perspective of five playable characters. Naturally there’ll also be thugs to beat up which will allow you to put the revamped battle system through its paces.
Sega has yet to confirm Yakuza 5 for the West but past games in the series have typically taken a year to reach our shores after being released in Japan. Next week’s demo should be a great opportunity to see if the wait will be worth it, and to scrutinise the brand new graphics engine that Yakuza 5 employs.
