If you’re looking forward to tomorrow’s PS Vita firmware update then you may be interested to know that one of the welcome features in system software 2.00 will be the ability to browse the web without having to quit your game.
President of Sony Computer Entertainment’s Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida announced the news via Twitter this morning with the following Tweet:
“One welcome change in tomorrow’s PS Vita FW2.0 will be the web browser becomes a ‘small app’, you won’t have to quit games to use it.”
While PS Vita users could previously access the web mid-game by following links in the handheld’s Twitter app, this was a far from ideal experience as the browser would close every time you returned to your game. This new feature of firmware 2.00 will be particularly useful for players who enjoy consulting walkthroughs or Trophy guides during gameplay.
Besides getting a new system update this week, PS Vita owners can also begin to enjoy PlayStation Plus benefits from tomorrow. These include access to an all-new Instant Game Collection, 1GB of Cloud storage for PS Vita save files, and automatic Trophy synching and patch downloading.
