The surprise might have been spoiled, but the news was just as welcome: When Bethesda announced the Dragonborn downloadable content for The Elder Scrolls V: Skryim, we received an epic trailer telling tales of ‘the first’ master of dragons, with glimpses of gameplay and a teaserly look at dragon riding.
Today, however, Bethesda has sent out a batch of debut screenshots and new details for Dragonborn to showcase some of the intimidating new enemies we’ll face off against in the content, with a few looks at additions to the immense world.
In Dragonborn for Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, we’ll be given a chance to visit the island of Solstheim located just off the coast of Morrowind, where we’ll find all-new towns, dungeons and quests in this land of ash and glaciers.
New Dragon Shouts will be included in Dragonborn, too, allowing you to “bend the will of your enemies and even tame dragons.”
“Your fate, and the fate of Solstheim, hangs in the balance as you face off against your deadliest adversary ‒ the first Dragonborn.”
Excited yet? We thought so! But there’s more – here’s what else you can expect in Dragonborn, available on Xbox 360 over Xbox LIVE on December 4th for 1600 MS Points:
Explore Beyond Skyrim:
Leave the province of Skyrim and travel to the coastal island of Solstheim. Encounter the Dark Elven settlers of Raven Rock and the native Skaal, as you unravel the mystery of a Dragonborn’s return.
Become the Ultimate Dragonborn:
Harness the power of the Voice as you face off against
the first Dragonborn. Wield new shouts and spells including Dragon Aspect ‒ allowing you to
summon the inner power of a dragon to deliver colossal blows and strengthen other shouts.
Discover dark powers as you journey into a new Daedric realm. Collect books of forbidden knowledge and choose new paths for your skills and abilities.
New dungeons, creatures, weapons, and more:
Suit up in Bonemold and Chitin armors and wield Stalhrim weapons as you navigate through a myriad of dungeons. Battle formidable foes like Ash Spawn, Rieklings, and more.
