PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale marks Sony’s long-awaited foray into the mascot fighter genre – a genre traditionally dominated by Nintendo and its highly successful Super Smash Bros. series.
Sony recently announced that PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale has gone gold ahead of its November 20th release in the US. The platform holder also unveiled the game’s opening cinematic giving fans an all-too-brief look at the final boss. Without giving too much away, this “villainous mastermind that’s returned from the depths of PlayStation history to pull the strings in All-Stars” won’t be familiar to fans who weren’t gamers during the original PlayStation’s early days.

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale will be released for PS3 and PS Vita on November 20th in the US and November 23rd in the UK. If you pick up the PS3 version you can download the game on PS Vita free of charge.
