If you’ve been eagerly awaiting Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance since it was first revealed three years ago then you’ll probably be interested to know that Konami has finally lifted the lid on what fans in Europe can expect in terms of the game’s special and limited editions, as well as its pre-order bonus incentives.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance’s European Limited Edition will retail for approximately €100 and only 25 000 units will be made available. This edition comes with an exclusive 30cm Raiden White Armour figurine from the Play Arts KAI series.
Meanwhile, the game’s Special Edition is available exclusively via Zavvi in the UK, and in addition to the figurine will also include a DLC code to access White Armour Raiden in the game (increasing the number of life-recovery items he can carry).
Konami’s two pre-order incentives for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance offer fans a choice between steelbook covers and DLC. Exclusive to the Game chain of stores, the first pre-order bonus features a Raiden illustration by the game’s character concept artist, Yoji Shinkawa, while the DLC unlocks Raiden’s Inferno Armour (increasing the number of throwing weapons he can carry).
The other steelbook variant is available when the game is pre-ordered from independent stores and features a render of Raiden along with a DLC code for the Raiden Commando Armour (allowing him access to a larger number of projectile weapons).
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will be released for PS3 and Xbox 360 on February 19th in the US and February 21st in European territories.
