Media Create Japanese Hardware Sales for week ending October 28th: PS Vita sales continue to slide

This week’s Media Create hardware chart sees overall console sales dwindle by 27% compared to the same period last year. The PS Vita and Wii continue to record lacklustre sales, with Sony’s handheld currently on a downward spiral as far as sales are concerned.

The two models of 3DS accounted for 56% of overall console sales this week with the 3DS XL taking top spot with 38 089 units sold. The PS3 and PSP continue to perform well for Sony although both systems sold less than they did during the same period last year.
