UK developer Criterion has already produced two of the finest racing games of this console generation – Burnout Paradise and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit – so it goes without saying that racing fans are amped for the release of Need for Speed: Most Wanted later this week.
Criterion has taken some of the best elements of the original NFS: Most Wanted while also reintroducing a few of the features that made its two previous racing titles such massive successes. These include NFS: Hot Pursuit’s competitive social system Autolog along with some of the most popular open-world elements from Burnout Paradise.
If you need a reminder of just how good NFS: Most Wanted’s open-world setting and line-up of sleek vehicles look, here’s the game’s recently released launch trailer:
Need for Speed: Most Wanted will be released for Xbox 360, PS3, PC and PS Vita on October 30th in the US and November 2nd in European territories. A Wii U version is also expected early next year.
