Square Enix has released details for the upcoming downloadable content for Sleeping Dogs, along with a batch of new screenshots and a terrifying trailer too.

Nightmare in North Point promises to deliver a “completely different take on the undead” as it’s inspired by Chinese mythology. The DLC tells the tale of Big Scar Wu who was once one of Hong Kong’s most notorious and ruthless Triad gangsters. Unfortunately for Big Scar Wu the Grand Dragon decided to make an example of him and had him “stabbed 42 times before feeding his bleeding corpse to the grinder at the Smiley Cat food plant.”

Even more unfortunate then that Big Scar Wu rises from hell as Smiley Cat and brings with him an army of Jiang Shi, “vowing to destroy the Sun On Yee and lead Hong Kong’s most feared criminal empire.” Wei Shen must now seek out the most powerful of Chinese magic, facing against the ghosts of previously defeated Triads and sending them back to hell.

The new Nightmare in North Point DLC will be available on the PlayStation Network, Xbox LIVE Marketplace and Steam this Halloween.
