New PS Store goes live across Europe, launch delayed in the USWritten by: / / No Comments
Following a bit of a haphazard launch for the new and improved PlayStation Store last week across European territories, as well as Australasia and South Africa, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has today proudly announced that the new-look and fully featured digital marketplace is now live in all European regions, including the UK.
If you’re living in the US, however, and you were expecting to go hands-on with the new Store this week as planned, then you’ll need to wait a little longer.
According to Sony’s Eric Lempel, the launch of the new US PlayStation Store has been postponed.
“Although the new PS Store is operating smoothly in most countries, there have been some issues that caused inconvenience for users,” wrote Lempel
“While we’ve already solved many of these issues, we’ve decided to postpone the October 23rd launch of the new store in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil.
“We want to be certain that you have an exceptional experience with the new store, so we appreciate your patience as we complete the final phases before launch.”
