PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale beta launches today for PS Plus members, PS Vita owners

If you can’t wait any longer to take on the world as your favourite PlayStation hero or heroine then don’t despair – help is on the way in the shape of a public multiplayer beta for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale!

The beta goes live for PlayStation Plus subscribers and PS Vita owners later today in the US and tomorrow, October 17th, in European territories. The beta will then open up to all PS3 players on October 23rd in the US and October 24th in PAL territories, before drawing to a close on October 30th.

Here’s what will be featured in the beta:

  • Cross-Play between PS3 and PS Vita players

  • Play as Kratos, Sweet Tooth, Colonel Radec, Sly Cooper, PaRappa and Fat Princess

  • Play in the Metropolis and Hades stages

  • Try out four-player online tournaments and 2 vs 2 online tournaments. 2 vs 2 games will support friend invites, so you and a friend can fight another team online
