[Update] The Black Ops 2 Season Pass has been confirmed, with news that all Call of Duty Elite features will be free to players of the game – get those details here. [End of Update]
It hasn’t been formally announced just yet, but a bit of an ‘Internet Malfunction’ has given Call of Duty players a quick glimpse at the Season Pass offering for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, which will seemingly provide no less than four map packs to those who purchase the pass.
Spotted by shooter and multiplayer experts, MP1st, the offering has since been removed from the official Call of Duty website, but thanks to a screengrab we’re all able to discover the following details on this supposed Season Pass for future Black Ops 2 content – the post read:
4 Epic DLC Map Packs – 1 Great Price at $10 Off
“Get 4 Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 downloadable content Map Packs, delivering a variety of new content, including Multiplayer and Zombies playable content.
Save $10, at discounted suggested retail price of £34.99
Content expected to be available in 2013 ‒ following the game’s launch on 11/13/12
Check for availability at your local Game Stop or Best Buy.
Based on Season Pass suggested retail price of £34.99 and four DLC Map Packs at a suggested retail price of $14.99 each.
Season Pass and DLC Map Packs may not be available on all platforms or in all territories. Pricing and release dates may vary by platform. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 game required; sold separately”
The weird pricing issues aside (talking about prices in US Dollars and UK Pounds in one offer), this seems pretty legitimate, so it may only be a matter of time before we get an official announcement on this.
Would you buy the Season Pass for Black Ops 2? Do you think this is a better method than subscribing to a Premium Elite account, as with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3?
