DmC: Devil May Cry looks set to kick off the new year in style when it releases this coming January. Developer Ninja Theory has made a name for itself with quality titles like Heavenly Sword and Enslaved: Odyssey to the West so hopes are high that DmC will be the studio’s most accomplished title yet.
Capcom recently revealed a new trailer for DmC during New York Comic Con showing Dante wielding the Revenant shotgun and dispatching a variety of fantastically designed foes.

The publisher also shared details regarding the game’s plot as well as plans for a demo. According to DmC’s producer Alex Jones the game will mark the return of the demon king Mundus from the original Devil May Cry, although it’s not clear if he will be featured in the final boss battle. Jones also stated that Capcom is planning to release a demo for DmC prior to the game’s launch. The sample has no firm release date as yet.

DmC: Devil May Cry will be released for PS3 and Xbox 360 on January 15th worldwide. A PC version is expected at a later stage.
